Our Story

Chef Jason Lamountain began his culinary career at Alvirne High School (while working at Nashua’s Michael Timothy’s, now MT's) and was later accepted to the very prestigious Culinary Institute of America (CIA) located in Hyde Park, New York.  At the CIA some the best chefs in the world, including 16 of the worlds 60 Master Chefs, taught him their craft. While at the CIA Jason spent 3 years working in the Functions Department which was responsible for all of the catered functions on the CIA campus. At the same time, he also ran a boutique Bed and Breakfast that focused on local vegetarian cuisine.

After graduation Jason worked for the Marriott Cooperation’s flagship property in New Orleans.  Jason later came home to New Hampshire where he worked at the famous Bedford Village Inn’s Pastry Department. Jason moved into corporate dining where he was responsible for meeting the meal requirements for hundreds of people each day. For more than 1 year he fed over 1,000 people per day! After graduating with Honors from SNHU with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration Jason accepted a position as the Private Chef for FLIR, a high-end technology company in Nashua, feeding all of the employees including the executive board and catering all training classes.

In 2016, Jason and Stacy opened City Moose Catering as their full-time jobs.  Jason is the Owner/Chef of City Moose Catering. Stacy is Owner/Catering Coordinator for City Moose Catering.  Stacy has a BA in Communication, Women’s Studies and a Minor in Sociology from The University of New Hampshire.  Stacy has worked in customer service her whole career and has many years of sales experience as well.  As a team, with their educational background and customer service philosophy, Chef Jason and Stacy are owners of one of the top-rated catering companies in Southern NH.  City Moose Catering is continuing to grow and expand as - City Moose Café will open in April 2018 in the heart of downtown Nashua with ample off-street parking.
